Our mission is to monitor all issues which could impact air or water quality, wildlife habitat or quality of life in Fawnskin and throughout Big Bear Valley, to invorm our membership and the public and to keep agencies informed of public concerns on these issues. Residents and visitors come to Fawnskin and Big Bear Valley because of the unique character. Our goal is to preserve the basic essence of this character for the future enjoyment of all valley residents and the many visitors to this unique area.

We are not opposed to controlled development. Our intent is to assure that a proper, legal process is done for all development in Big Bear Valley and that it appropriately allows community input. We support the purchase of pristine areas by outside groups whose intentions are to keep those areas pristine.

Working with Other Groups

We work in cooperation with other groups and individuals around Big Bear Valley with similar goals for their area.

· We can get the word out to our members about proposed developments;

· We can take a stand on specific development issues and educate those involved about their impact on natural resources;

- We offer classes and guidance on processes and procedures for other groups.
